9:30 AM?

9:30 AM worship service.  The opportunity costs are staggering.  One could be sleeping, or otherwise easing into the day – coffee in hand. Reading the paper. Walking the dog. Even gardening (inasmuch as you've been motivated by the recent sermon series). 

What gives?  Why does All Saints start its service so early on Sunday mornings?  Seems the whole "day of rest" could be a lot more restful if the church would just set a more realistic (more human?) start time. 

This week Toddy Burton asks Bill that question.  Bill’s response takes us from the desire to maintain one worship service, to the need for Christian education, to a quick survey on the history of Christians getting up early (even 3:30 am).
